A trucking industry leader in Burr Ridge, Illinois, Robert Rogulic is the founder and head executive of Tri-National, the winner of multiple Logistics Provider of Excellence awards from Johnson Controls. Under Robert Rogulic’s leadership, Tri-National donates over $10,000 each year to the Kilo Foundation.

The Kilo Diabetes & Vascular Research Foundation funds research on diabetes and associated vascular diseases by relying on the generosity of private donors. Physicians Charles Kilo and Joseph Williamson established the foundation nearly 50 years ago.

The overarching goals of the Kilo Foundation revolve around research into the various ways in which diabetes affects the human body. The foundation aims to help develop pharmaceuticals and other forms of medical intervention to help prevent diabetes-related vascular damage as well as associated complications such as heart attacks, strokes, blindness, kidney failure, and nerve damage. The Kilo Foundation’s research has also aided in the development of treatment modalities for vascular damage that can lead to strokes and heart attacks in people without diabetes.
